In December 2005, I was approached by my good friend Arlene Rosenthal, who suggested I become a Board Member for the Well in the Desert, and invited my family and myself to attend the Christmas feast at the Convention Center, when I saw what the Well of the Desert was doing for the families from the desert, I wanted to become involved with the Well. I became a board member in January.
My contribution to the well is to produce the Well in the Desert News, published two times a year. This publication informs the public about the Well and what events are forthcoming, along with a special thanks to Wayne McKinny for all his hard work, and all the volunteers who do so much for the Well. It is a pleasure to be part of the Board of Directors serving the Well in the Desert. |
