Arlene Rosenthal

President

Arlene Rosenthal is a California native, and grew up in West Los Angeles. After graduating from U.C.L.A. she moved to the Bay Area where she taught school for several years. She left the magic of Berkeley for the magic of the desert, and settled for 5 acres of peace and quiet in Sky Valley.

For the past eighteen years Arlene has been the sole owner of Rosenthal of Palm Springs, a custom-clothing company that provides individualized custom services to men and women for all their clothing needs.

Arlene spent six years on the Board of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, and ran the very successful Athena Awards for nine years. She created and ran the Mentoring Project for the then Women's Committee at the Palm Springs Art Museum, and also implemented a yearly program called Girlz Night Out for six years. For the past three years she has been one of the Gala Benefactor Chairs for the Museum.

She spent three years on the Aids Assistance Board, raising close to $300,000.00 during her tenure, and left that Board to join the Board of the Well in the Desert.

For the past 15 years Arlene has been on the Board of the Palm Springs Opera Guild, and has been the Chair of the yearly Vocal Competition, and for eight years has chaired and produced the very popular Opera in the Park.

She was recently appointed to a three year term on the Mizell Center Board, and works as co-chair of the auction for the Rick Weiss Humanitarian Awards.

Swimming and tennis and life at home give her the needed support for all that she does. Arlene loves to see people happy, and works hard to help attain that goal.
