The Well In The Desert serves a variety of people in the Western end of the Coachella Valley. We serve the homeless, the working poor, the at-risk for homeless and the shut-in seniors. We service Nightengale Manor, a home for homeless women and children in Palm Springs, with all of their food needs.

The Well in the Desert also serves the community on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter with wonderful holiday meals, gifts for the children, and a place for people to be when they cannot afford a celebration at home. These events bring out all of the people we see on a daily and weekly basis, along with hundreds of migrant workers and their families, who come up from Mecca on busses donated by Laidlaw Transportation.

The Well in the Desert serves those who have no where else to turn; no roof over their head, working people who need a little more, seniors who have been forgotten, people living with AIDS/HIV, homeless mothers and their children, homeless Veterans, and those who have been forgotten by others.
